It’s time for another Featured Employee! This week we are recognizing our lovely Mellisa. Mellisa is a RN and our Director of Risk and Compliance, working mainly in our Daytona location. She also manages our entire ASC operation staff! She has been with us for 3 years and is currently working on updating our accreditation for our ambulatory surgery center.
Favorite thing
Mellissa’s favorite thing about working at the Filutowski Eye Institute is definitely her wonderful coworkers. She considers herself privileged to work with an amazing team of caring individuals, focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience. Her coworkers are also quick to offer a kind word, hug and a prayer if needed. “They are truly amazing people,” she says. Mellisa also loves when patients share their stories of amazement after they have had their vision restored. She says it is such a blessing to be a part of their journey to better vision. This year, Mellisa has been working on our AAAHC survey and says she is proud to work for an organization that holds such an esteemed accreditation.
Fun Facts
Some fun facts about Mellissa, her favorite food is great pizza, and she loves going on long cruise vacations with her family. She also has three fur babies, named Brodie, Stryker, and Max that she can’t live without!
