To our Valued Patients:

Throughout the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been closely monitoring the situation in an effort to make informed decisions on how best to ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff, and their families.

For the past two weeks we have been implementing stricter guidelines to keep our community safe. Including, but not limited to, screening every individual who comes in the door for symptoms of COVID-19, frequent cleaning and disinfecting of public areas, frequent handwashing, use of mask and glove protocols during close contact with patients, and enforcing social distancing in our waiting rooms.

As of March 19, 2020, we have decided that all three FEI offices will be closed from March 20 until April 5, except to those suffering from emergent or urgent ophthalmic problems. ­This is in accordance with the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s new recommendation to stop all non-urgent care. By doing so we hope to help:

• Ensure the health of our Filutowski Eye Family (patients and staff)
• prevent the risk of the transmission of COVID-19 through human to human contact
• reduce the rate of new COVID-19 case development
• conserve disposable medical supplies in the case our hospitals need additional resources

As the situation is rapidly evolving, we plan to keep an open line of communication with our patients regarding their procedures, post-operative care, and future appointments. It is best to reach out to 407.333.5111 regarding any questions you may have. We will have staff answering the phones during our normal business hours (8am-5pm M-F). If you do not reach an associate, please leave a message and they will get back to you ASAP.
