Meet Our Team

As the Filutowski Eye Institute has grown over the past 30 years to be one of Central Florida’s most recognized names in eye care, the staff of the Institute also grows. The ophthalmologists and staff members are carefully chosen based on their expertise, knowledge, education, and dedication to patient care.  Our surgical staff and doctors travels between each of our three locations to ensure that you receive the same level of care no matter where you are seen. 

Sebastian Filutowski - Practice Administrator

Practice Administrator

Sebastian joined the Filutowski Eye Institute as the Billing Manager in 2016 and has been the Practice Administrator since 2018. He has experience in corporate finance and collections, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He enjoys involvement with his church, spending time with family and friends, and participating in most motorsports.

Vicky has been with the Filutowski Eye Institute since 2003 and is responsible for the patient experience at the front desk while also managing operations in the ambulatory surgical center. Throughout her time within the organization, Vicky has held positions in billing, human resources, accounts payable, front desk, and the clinic.

She is an army veteran, proudly serving her country for 6 years and achieved the rank of E5.  She is married with 4 children and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Vanessa has been part of the Filutowski Eye Institute since 1998.  Vanessa attended the Medical Science campus at the University of Puerto Rico and obtained an Ophthalmic Technician degree. Throughout the years she has led and assisted in many clinic and practice development projects. Vanessa now manages the day-to-day operations of the clinic while supporting and collaborating with her colleagues. Vanessa enjoys travel and spending time with her family.  She is also involved with her church and community.

James Toler

Sales & Marketing Director

James joined the Filutowski Eye Institute in February 2020. James brings more than 30 years of sales/marketing experience to the role and is currently responsible for leading the sales team, brand strategy, media planning and placement, and market positioning for the FEI organization. His experience includes leadership positions within the Retail, Restaurant, Media, and Grocery industries. James is a University of Central Florida graduate and has lived in Orlando since 1973.  Married with 4 children, he and his wife, Alison, enjoy traveling and antiquing.

Nathaniel

Nathaniel Harner

Billing Manager

Nathaniel started with the Filutowski Eye Institute in October 2015, as an insurance specialist and was promoted to Billing Manager in 2018. He has over a decade of experience in the medical field which includes medical claims, insurance authorization, medical coding, account management, and patient care.  He is a graduate of Florida Metropolitan University and he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons.

Human Resources Director

Julie’s vision to be part of an organization that works for the greater good of the community and makes a positive impact on society was realized when she joined the FEI team in 2020 as the Human Resources Director. She brings over 20 years of HR experience to the company within the advertising, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and construction industries. She received a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Rollins College. Outside of work, she enjoys boating and spending time with her husband, Shaun and their three big, furry dogs.
